CME/CE/CASC Credit

This CME/CE activity is designed for physicians, nurses, PAs, NPs, medical and surgery center executives and others who are involved in a leadership or management role in the OR.

Physicians: This CME activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the Joint Sponsorship of the Institute for Medical Studies (IMS) and Herrin Publishing Partners, LP. IMS is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

This educational activity is expected to qualify for a maximum of 15 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Nurses: You may claim credit for activities approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ in most states, for up to 50% of the nursing requirement for recertification. This activity is is expected to qualify for up to 15 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.

Nurse Practitioners: The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from organizations accredited by the ACCME. IMS is accredited to provide continuing medical education for physicians and will provide nurse practitioners who successfully complete each activity with a certificate of participation indicating that the activity was designated for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.

Physician Assistants: The American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ from organizations accredited by the ACCME. This program is expected to qualify for a maximum of 15 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physician assistants should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Medical Practice Executives: The American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE) accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ from organizations accredited by ACCME. Administrators should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Ambulatory Surgery Center Administrators (CASC): This program is expected to be approved for 15 hours of AEU credit by BASC Provider #4254.
